The Carolina RailHawks did exactly what they needed to do Tuesday night in the US Open Cup -- take care of business against the Milwaukee Bavarians in order to setup a home date against an MLS team in the 3rd Round. With a 4-0 victory over the USASA amateur side, the RailHawks now look forward to taking on 4-time defending US Open Cup champions Chicago Fire on July 15th at SAS Soccer Park.
The match against Bavarians started tentatively, as the RailHawks made sure they didn't make the same mistake that the Cincinnati Kings made in the First Round, conceding an early goal to Bavarians inside 10 minutes. Instead, the RailHawks played patiently and awaited for their opening. Although the first goal of the game nearly came from Bavarians when Weiler's 28 yard right-footer was turned just outside his left post on a finger tip save by RailHawks keeper Chris McClellan, it was the last time Milwaukee would seriously threaten the RailHawks net. In the 37th minute, Anthony Maher, who plays his indoor soccer in Milwaukee, returned an Edozien header with a nifty chest pass to put the RailHawks leading scorer through on the Bavarians keeper and Edozien did not waste Maher's assist, calmy finishing his third goal of the US Open Cup.
Maher would add to the RailHawks lead on the stroke of halftime and then complete a brace on 57th minute to sink his hometown side. If the Bavarians weren't aggrieved enough by Maher's exploits, another Milwaukee Wave MISL player would score the best goal of the night when Marcio Leite hit a 25 yard blast that got up and over the Bavarians keeper and back down underneath the crossbar in the 79th minute to seal the final 4-nil scoreline.

This is weak... the tickets went on sale almost a week ago and I was able to get 3 seats in 204, row B today? Is there some reason why this game is not sold out already?
