The Cary RailHawks U23s lost their first road match of the year 2-1 to the Atlanta Silvebacks U23s. Atlanta opened the scoring in the 36th minute through Mark Buchholz. Cary rebounded to level the score in the 64th minute when Joe Germanese assisted on a goal for Corey Lugger, who scored only moments after entering as a second half substitute. But the RailHawks lead was short-lived as Jeffrey Cox restored Atlanta's lead 7 minutes later with the winning goal.
