Triangle Soccer Fanatics was founded in 2003 by W. Jarrett Campbell as a means for like-minded soccer fans in the Raleigh-Durham area to connect and watch matches together in pubs.
In 2006, with the announcement that Chris Economides and his partners were bringing professional soccer to the Triangle, TSF decides to form our informal social group into an Independent Supporters Club of the Carolina RailHawks.
In 2014, the organization formally incorporated as a North Carolina nonprofit focused on promoting growth of soccer in local region. In this capacity, TSF became a member of the Independent Supporters Club and spearheaded a campaign to bring awareness of the need for engaged, local ownership of the Carolina RailHawks, which ultimately occurred when Steve Malik purchased the RailHawks in 2015 and rebranded the club as North Carolina FC.
TSF members continue to support both NCFC and the NC Courage while promoting soccer in general in the Triangle. However, during the 2017 season, due to a lack of membership willing to serve as officers, the organization ceased its formal matchday operations. TSF continues to have a presence online and at local soccer matches and you can still reach TSF through our contact page.
